Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Work directly with a leading AI research lab on real-world software engineering problems. Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and maintainability. Design challenging engineering problems and test cases that probe model reasoning. Review model output step by step and document where and why it fails. Help push model performance on production-grade software tasks. Compensation: $245 - $280 per hour

Fully remote, work from anywhere Type: Flexible contract, not a full-time position 5+ years of professional software engineering experience at a strong engineering organisation. Deep expertise in system design, code review, and debugging complex issues. Solid grounding in algorithms, data structures, and software architecture. Production experience in Python, Java, Go, Rust, C++ or TypeScript. No prior AI or machine learning experience required. Your engineering judgement is what matters. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 5-7 years of professional software development experience, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering complex projects. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go) and its associated ecosystem.
