Job Overview
Manage and control project costs from inception to completion, ensuring profitability and adherence to budget. Prepare and submit accurate interim and final accounts, including variations and claims, to clients and subcontractors. Negotiate and agree on contract terms, valuations, and final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contract terms and specifications. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with contract documents. Prepare and present regular cost reports and financial forecasts to project management and stakeholders. Resolve contractual disputes and claims efficiently and effectively, minimizing financial and legal exposure. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies. Foster strong working relationships with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure commercial success.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent is highly advantageous. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience specifically within the infrastructure sector (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.). Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects from a commercial perspective. Proficiency in using cost management software (e.g., CostX, Aconex, Oracle Primavera) and standard office suites. In-depth knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or other relevant infrastructure contract forms. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines under pressure. Good physical stamina and ability to conduct regular site inspections in varying environmental conditions. Employment Type Full-time
