Software QA Automation Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Position Summary We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team in an onsite role. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Selenium Automation , API Testing using Postman , and test automation framework development. You will be responsible for ensuring software quality by designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for web applications and APIs. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver . Develop and enhance automation frameworks following industry best practices. Execute automated regression, smoke, functional, integration, and end-to-end test suites. Perform comprehensive API testing using Postman , including creating collections, writing test scripts, validating responses, and automating API test execution. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies. Identify, log, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing. Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and provide detailed reports. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Continuously improve automation coverage, framework stability, and testing processes. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 36 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on Automation Testing. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver is mandatory. Strong experience building and maintaining automation frameworks. Proficiency in Java (preferred) or Python for automation scripting. Strong experience with Postman for API testing , including REST APIs, request validation, environment management, collections, and automated API test execution. Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or similar testing frameworks. Good understanding of API concepts, JSON, REST, and HTTP methods. Experience with Git and version control systems. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Working knowledge of SQL for database validation. Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Preferred Skills Experience with Selenium Grid or parallel test execution. Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools. Knowledge of Docker or cloud-based test execution environments. Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter. ISTQB certification is an advantage.
