Tax Junior

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are looking for a Tax Junior to join our Private Client Tax team at Hoxton Tax. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career in tax who is keen to develop a strong foundation in private client taxation, working with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), internationally mobile clients, and families. The Tax Junior will support the team with day-to-day compliance work, gain exposure to a broad range of private client tax matters, and receive structured training and support towards professional qualifications (ATT and/or CTA). Key Responsibilities Compliance & Technical Support Assist with the preparation of UK personal tax returns under supervision. Support the team with income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax calculations. Help gather and organise client information and documentation. Assist with basic tax research and technical queries. Develop an understanding of UK tax legislation and compliance processes. Client & Team Support Assist with responding to routine client queries and correspondence. Help manage deadlines and workflow within the team. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service. Contribute positively to a supportive and learning-focused team environment. Desired Candidate Profile Skills & Experience Essential A genuine interest in tax and private client work. Strong academic background (degree or equivalent preferred). Good numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge. Desirable Some prior experience in tax, accountancy, or professional services (including internships or placements). An intention to study towards ATT qualifications.
