Tendering & Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and monitor relevant tender and project opportunities
• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and BOQs
• Perform and verify quantity take-offs
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and unit rate analyses
• Estimate materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect costs
• Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors and prepare technical/commercial comparisons
• Maintain and update supplier, subcontractor, and pricing databases
• Identify technical, commercial, and pricing risks
• Prepare and coordinate technical and financial tender submissions
• Ensure full compliance with government tender requirements
• Prepare and submit government bids through the Etimad platform as authorized
• Follow up tender status and support clarification responses
• Conduct win/loss analysis and update historical pricing records
• Prepare tender handover packages upon project award
• Support ongoing projects with variation and additional-work pricing
• Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering and estimation within contracting companies
• Proven experience in preparing and pricing construction tenders
• Strong quantity surveying and cost analysis capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Good AutoCAD and drawing-reading skills
• Good knowledge of the Saudi contracting market, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Fluent Arabic and very good command of English
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively under strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience with Saudi government tenders
• Hands-on experience with the Etimad platform
• Established knowledge of suppliers and subcontractors in the Saudi market
• Experience with quantity take-off and estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or CostX. Valid Saudi Council of Engineers membership
• Priority will be given to candidates who combine tendering, estimation, quantity surveying, supplier sourcing, and subcontractor coordination experience Employment Type Full-time
