To perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support activities for electrical equipment in medium-and high-voltage substations. The engineer will ensure that all testing work complies with technical standards, project specifications, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Testing & CommissioningPerform testing and commissioning for MV/HV substation equipment including:Power TransformersSwitchgear (MVSG/GIS/AIS)Protection RelaysCircuit Breakers, CTs, VTsCables (Insulation & Hi-Pot tests& VLF)Execute functional, primary, and secondary injection testing.All commissioning activities (Schematic reading mandatory). Conduct protection relay configuration and setting verification (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, NR, GE, etc.).Test and validate control, and communication systems.2. Site ActivitiesPrepare daily progress reports and test sheets.Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and clients during testing activities.Support troubleshooting of equipment failures and abnormal readings.Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained. 3. Technical DocumentationPrepare test reports, commissioning reports, and punch lists.Ensure compliance with IEC standards and project specifications. 4. Safety & QualityFollow company HSE policies and site safety rules.Ensure all testing activities are executed safely and accurately.Participate in quality audits and corrective actions when required.
