Backend Engineer

We are building a vetted pool of experienced Backend Engineer professionals, based in Egypt and working remotely, to connect with our growing roster of international clients hiring for this role. If shortlisted, you will be matched with relevant live opportunities as they arise and introduced directly to the hiring company for interviews. Responsibilities Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases and optimize performance Collaborate with frontend and product teams on feature delivery Write clean, tested and well-documented code Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions Monitor and troubleshoot production systems Competitive monthly compensation, paid for remote work with international clients Fully remote, flexible collaboration Desired Candidate Profile 3+ years of professional backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, Go or similar) Strong grasp of REST/GraphQL API design Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines Solid Git proficiency Good written English for async collaboration Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) Background in a fast-paced startup or SaaS product company
