Freelance Technical Interviewer

Conduct structured 30 60 minute technical interviews remotely via video calls. Assess candidates' practical technical knowledge, engineering experience, and problem-solving abilities. Evaluate candidates across different seniority levels, including Junior, Mid-Level, Senior, and Principal. Follow FEKRA's standardized technical interview framework and evaluation criteria. Ask relevant technical, architectural, and scenario-based questions appropriate to each role. Assess coding skills, debugging abilities, system design knowledge, and technical decision-making where relevant. Identify technical strengths, knowledge gaps, and potential red flags. Assess candidates' technical communication and ability to explain their decisions. Prepare accurate, objective, and structured written evaluation reports after each interview. Submit interview feedback within the agreed reporting timeframe. Collaborate with FEKRA's recruitment team to maintain consistent and fair technical assessments. Provide feedback and suggestions to continuously improve our interviewing process. Technical domains we are hiring for We are looking for interviewers with strong expertise in one or more of the following areas: Backend Engineering: Node.js, NestJS, Python, Django, Java, Spring Boot, PHP, Laravel, or similar technologies. Frontend / Fullstack Engineering: React, Angular, Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, or related frameworks. Data Science & Analytics: Data Science, Product Analytics, Growth Analytics, Machine Learning, and related disciplines. AI / Machine Learning: LLMs, NLP, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI applications, and MLOps fundamentals. DevOps / Cloud / SRE: AWS, Azure, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and site reliability engineering. WordPress / PHP Engineering: WordPress, PHP, custom development, plugins, and performance optimization. Mobile Engineering: Flutter, iOS, Swift, Android, Kotlin, or related mobile technologies. QA Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, API testing, and automated testing frameworks. Other Technical Domains: Experienced engineers from other specializations are also welcome to apply.

Desired Candidate Profile

What we are looking for Required qualifications 6+ years of professional, hands-on engineering experience in at least one relevant technical domain. Strong practical understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, debugging, and real-world technical challenges. Ability to assess technical knowledge, code quality, engineering decisions, and problem-solving approaches. Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written. Ability to conduct professional, structured, and objective technical interviews. Strong analytical skills and the ability to distinguish theoretical knowledge from practical experience. Ability to provide clear, detailed, and evidence-based technical evaluation reports. Strong professional integrity, fairness, consistency, and confidentiality. Ability to manage interview commitments and deliver feedback on time. Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment. Preferred qualifications Previous experience conducting technical interviews or participating in engineering hiring panels. Experience interviewing candidates across different seniority levels. Familiarity with live coding, system design, technical discussions, and scenario-based assessments. Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or Technical Architect. Experience mentoring engineers or evaluating technical competencies. Familiarity with structured interview scorecards and competency-based evaluation frameworks.
