Fit out Supervisor

Site supervision and coordination -Supervise daily site activities across trades, including partitioning, ceilings, flooring, joinery, painting, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) installations. -Plan and sequence works to avoid clashes between trades and keep the programme on track. -Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently. -Run daily briefings and toolbox talks with site teams. Quality control -Make sure all works follow approved drawings, specifications, and material submittals. -Identify defects early, manage snagging lists, and see them through to closure. Check that materials delivered to site match approved samples. Health, safety and environment -Enforce site safety rules, PPE use, and safe working practices. -Conduct risk assessments and make sure method statements are followed. -Keep the site clean, organized, and compliant with HSE standards. -Report and investigate incidents and near misses. Programme and progress -Monitor progress against the project schedule and flag delays promptly. -Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, including photos and manpower records. -Help plan look-ahead programmes, typically covering two to three weeks. Communication and documentation -Serve as the main on-site contact for the client's representatives, consultants, and subcontractors. -Attend site and progress meetings and follow up on action items. -Keep site records such as daily logs, material registers, and variation records. -Interpret drawings and pass technical queries (RFIs) to the design team. Desired Candidate Profile -Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent trade experience. -Usually 5 or more years in interior fit-out, with at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory role. -Strong ability to read architectural, joinery, and MEP drawings. -Knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, and construction methods.
