Planning Manager
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Lead the development of strategic planning initiatives to align organizational goals with market opportunities, ensuring data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively forecast demand and supply, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste. Utilize advanced analytics tools to interpret market trends, providing actionable insights that drive business performance. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project effectiveness and inform continuous improvement strategies. Manage project timelines and budgets meticulously, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress and potential roadblocks. Facilitate regular planning meetings and workshops to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across departments. Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions to project timelines and outcomes. Oversee the integration of new planning technologies, ensuring team members are trained and equipped to utilize these tools effectively. Prepare and present reports to senior management, articulating complex planning concepts in a clear and concise manner. Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes, adapting planning processes to maintain compliance and competitiveness. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning or project management within a relevant industry, showcasing a track record of successful initiatives. Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM or PMP are highly preferred, demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement. Experience in data analysis and forecasting methodologies, with proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, or SAP. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey planning concepts to diverse audiences. Proven leadership capabilities, fostering teamwork and motivating team members to achieve collective goals. A proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges and ambiguity. Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, with the ability to navigate diverse work environments and teams. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is an asset, particularly for multinational organizations.
