Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Lead to join our Group of Companies in Abu Dhabi. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership by driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, costing, business performance analysis, and financial reporting while leading the accounting team to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance across multiple business entities. This role requires a commercially focused finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and extensive UAE experience managing finance operations within diverse business environments. Key Responsibilities Strategic Finance & Business Planning Partner with the CFO and executive management in developing and executing the Group's financial strategy. Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. Conduct financial feasibility studies, investment appraisals, and business case evaluations for new projects and expansion initiatives. Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and strategic forecasts to support executive decision-making. Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Monitor financial performance against budgets and strategic targets. Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions. Develop management reports, dashboards, and financial presentations for executive management and shareholders. Monitor key financial and operational KPIs to support business performance. Costing & Profitability Analysis Lead product, project, and operational costing activities. Analyze cost structures, profitability, margins, and operational efficiencies across business units. Review inventory valuation, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and overhead allocations where applicable. Recommend pricing strategies and cost optimization initiatives to improve profitability. Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversight Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting team across the Group. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Review journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and intercompany transactions. Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities. Ensure consistency in accounting practices and financial reporting across all entities. Treasury & Cash Flow Management Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts. Manage working capital, liquidity, receivables, payables, and banking relationships. Monitor funding requirements and recommend financing strategies to support business operations. Compliance & Corporate Governance Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and all applicable UAE statutory and regulatory requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the primary liaison with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities. Develop, implement, and maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, and finance procedures. Support corporate governance initiatives and strengthen internal control frameworks. Process Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Maximize ERP system utilization and support finance system enhancements. Standardize financial reporting and accounting procedures across the Group. Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set departmental objectives, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of finance functions. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred. MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Experience Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role in UAE. Proven experience managing finance operations across multiple companies, business units, or group entities within the UAE. Strong exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, costing, financial reporting, treasury, cash flow management, taxation, and strategic finance. Experience working across diverse industries, such as manufacturing, trading, construction, contracting, real estate, logistics, retail, distribution, hospitality, or other multi-sector business environments, is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel; Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is an advantage.
